Practical Warm Up and Stretching
Workout Tip In Weight Lifting

Here are some practical warm up and stretching workout tip in weight lifting that will surely help you to optimize the benefit of your weight lifting program:

Always start your weight lifting workout program with a set of warm up exercises and some stretching. Warming up prior to your weight lifting workout will regulate your blood flow and prepare your muscles for the actual workout. It can also help your body eradicate waste out of your system quickly. Likewise, warm up exercises are proven to be effective in increasing your weight lifting intensity and performance.

Stretching your primary muscles after your warm up exercise is also beneficial because it gives you better physical performance and prevents you from having injuries. Stretching your muscles will improve its elasticity and the quality of your overall movement. But always see to it that your muscles are already warmed up before stretching them. One good example of warm up exercise is cycling and the recommended body parts that you should stretch after cycling are your hips, calves and quadriceps. In weight lifting, warm up and stretching exercises should be done before each weight lifting workout for different muscle group.

Another practical workout tip in weight lifting is to do a warm-up exercise using light weights for about 20 repetitions for every muscle group. But remember to stretch only after the muscle has been properly warmed-up and only once for every two or three sets per muscle group.

You may think that warm-up and stretching will only prolong you workout but actually, you can do these in between your muscle group exercises while you are resting for a while. Stretching your arms and legs are better than doing nothing during in-between weight lifting workout.

And for the last practical workout tip in weight lifting you should cool down after your entire weight lifting session. This is very important because blood tends to accumulate in the lower body after an intensity exercise session. This often results to light-headedness and so, we should end our workout by doing some cool down exercise which is similar to our warm up exercises.
